Aire - 'Opening Scene'
Aire's sophomore album 'Opening Scene' explores the emotional depth of human connection; its cracks, failures and the resilience built from them. Through a fusion of classical and modern styles, assisted by string performers Andrea Amador & Asia Jimenez, the album captures the vulnerable and tender relationships that give oneself stability.

Since his 2018 debut on formative experimental grime label Glacial Industries, Aire has spent his time composing music for a range of national dance performances (Notably at the Teatros del Canal in Madrid and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Barcelona (MACBA). Over this time he has vastly expanded his sonic palette, adding a plethora of live instrumentation into his raw and emotive sound into his personal work.
Collaborating with Toothgrinder Press, Opening Scene is brought into a physical context spotlighting Juaki Pesudo’s artwork. Randomised crops of the artwork are laser printed on 180gsm frosted vellum paper and stitched into a 10 page, A5 zine. The individual fractals of paint that make up the artwork are seen in great detail, relaying the musics dense underpinnings and spotlighting its intricate artwork. A CD of the album is housed in a repurposed transparent pouch, hand stitched and bound. Limited to x20 copies, each one is completely unique.
